United2Heal, a humanitarian organization that is stationed at Virginia Commonwealth University, has assembled over 100 volunteers from its host campus to send a large quantity of medical supplies to Egypt through Egypt Cancer Network 57357. United2Heal will also be including the donation of 100 Joy Jars from the Jessie Rees Foundation in this particular shipment, which is destined for our partnering institutions, including Children’s Cancer Hospital Egypt 57357.

United2Heal was founded in late 2011 by several university students in an effort to address the issue of surplus medical supplies collects, sorts and sends shipments of these supplies to hospitals and institutions in developing countries. In its repertoire of activities, United2Heal has also sent two shipments worth $2 million to Syria in their “Sutures for Syria” campaign.

Another major component of United2Heal is the power of bringing people together across religious and cultural boundaries. The organization is an interfaith organization and appeals to all of the student communities to join the effort. Just like Egypt Cancer Network 57357, United2Heal is building bridges between communities all over the world.
