Dr. Hussein M. Abdel-Dayem is the Chief of the Nuclear Medicine Service and Director of the Nuclear Medicine Residency training program at SVCMC and Professor of Radiology at the New York Medical College since 1992. He is a Fellow of the American College of Nuclear Medicine (past President), and Fellow of the American College of Nuclear Physicians.
Dr. Abdel-Dayem has published over 250 papers in refereed journals and 8 book chapters. He serves as an editorial board member and reviewer for 8 journals, including Radiology, Journal of Nuclear Medicine, European Journal of Nuclear Medicine, Cancer, Gastroenterology and the American Journal of Clinical Oncology. His current areas of interest include new developments in the field of Nuclear Medicine, Nuclear Oncology, Nuclear Cardiology, Obstructive Uropathy, Infection Localization, Traumatic Brain Injury, training and education.
Dr. Abdel-Dayem has been named one of the “Best Doctors in New York” from 2000 to 2006 and one of the “Top Healthcare Professionals” in 2005.
